You’ve Got Flowers!

Flowers are always a very welcome gift, with Valentine’s day coming soon why not give the gift of a blossoming plant instead?. I think flower pots are a more considered gift than bouquets, they last longer and they can become more meaningful gift. Although it can be an uncommon place to find flowers, Restoration Hardware has these pretty plants on sale right now. Check them out here.

CB2. New York, NY

CB2. New York, NY

CB2, is a sister company of Crate and Barrel. Most people know Crate and Barrel for the great selection of home accessories and furniture; unfortunately they can be expensive for most people’s budgets. CB2 was created to offer a colorful, modern and more affordable collection of home goods. There is a playful and creative vibe to their stores; they are a one stop shop for room make-over projects. I think their website is really fantastic but if you live near any of the stores, you should stop by. I was inspired by their furniture and decoration ideas. I got a new office space at home thanks to their wonderful display in their store in Soho, New York City.

Artistic Tiles. New York, NY

Artistic Tiles. New York, NY

Artistic Tiles was a showroom I found in my trip to New York City, they are located on 38 West 21st Street. The showroom is well designed, they display all their luxury tiles really nicely. When you walk in the showroom it feels you are walking into a luxury spa, it’s really calming and inspirational.

I thought their window displays were really original, New York is know for their fashion industry so they made fashion pieces with their tiles. They made a dress, I didn’t realized it was made with tiles until I got close to it. The other display was a man with jeans and a tie, these are also really well made, a genius way to catch your eye from the street.

I never realized how many showrooms for tiles there are in Manhattan until my last trip. I walked into some really amazing showrooms and I thought their colors and designs for patterns were a great source of inspiration for designers. I will be writing about some other showrooms this week. Stay tune!.

Brook Farm General Store. Williamsburg, Brooklyn.

Brook Farm General Store

Brook Farm General Store is an outstanding home goods store located on 75 South 6th street, between Berry and Whythe.

The concepts is consistent and carried out throught every single product they offer. Everything in the store feels classic, timeless, and reminiscent of what a general store of the past would be like with a modern twist.

I once wrote about their stainless steel straws and I was determined to visit their store on my trip. I was so happy I did, the store is cozy and really sophisticated.
